Batting gloves are one of those cricket products (like bats) that have a huge range.
The lower end "tube" gloves tend to be a bit heavier and less flexible than the mid and high end range gloves.
Most gloves are made mainly from white EVA foam. The mid range gloves in the $40 - $60 range tend to be molded or hinged so it is easier to grip the bat without your fingers trying to spring apart.
The top range gloves are big but light. Where the springy EVA foam absorbs the blunt impact the higher end gloves usually have an additional lighter foam layer to absorb the sting. They also are usually leather palmed to help you keep a good grip on your stick.
