It only seems like a couple of weeks since the season finished here in sunny Southern California but in that time the great Sachin Tendulkar retired from the game, England have (so far) been smashed 4-0 in a test series everyone was saying they would walk, Jonathan Trott gave it a swerve.... as did Graham Swann, the great Jaques Kallis announced his retirement from tests and just the other day a young New Zealander, Corey Anderson who, without being unkind, not too many people had heard of before, has just broken the record set by a 17 year old Shahid Afridi for the fastest ODI ton.
Plenty hap pening.....
The southern hemisphere cricket season is in full flight right now but for us guys in the northern hemisphere New Year is when we wonder how long it's going to take to run off the festive season gains and we look into our kit bags and ask ourselves if the mold will come off or will we be making a new purchase sometime soon.
Maybe the next post will be "what preseason training means to most of us" or possibly "how often should you change your abdo guard?" - both being equally valuable and scintillating content, I'm sure you'd agree!
