Kookaburra Kahuna Batting Gloves

Kookaburra Kahuna Pro Batting Gloves are the top of the range batting glove in the Kahuna range and is rated as Grade 1 for protection. It is lightweight, flexible and offers protection from high density foam. High density foam is made by injecting air into molten polyurethane. The density of the foam is composed from the number and size of the bubbles formed. Because of the number of bubbles HDF is strong but light. 
 
 
 
The Kahuna Pro has rounded high density foam in the finger area and this is reinforced by  protective fibre chambers. The side of the top hand is made up of a one piece HDF and the bottom hand has a three piece HDF protection. The thumb also has rounded HDF and rounded fibre inserts for protection. The palm of the Kahuna Pro is made from top grade pittards leather with ventilation from Kookaburra's Max Flo system . The back of the glove is polyurethane and the lining is brushed cotton and soft foam. The wrist has a double sided 50 mm towelling band and is secured by a hook and loop system. The Kahuna Pro has a green theme with the lead fingers being light and dark green and the wrist band predominantly light green. The gloves come in small adults, adults and over sized adults.
 
 

The Kookaburra Kahuna 1000  Batting Gloves are a grade 2 batting glove. It comes in junior, youths, small adult, adult and over sized adult sizes. The glove has a calf leather palm with Max Flo ventilation. The back of the glove is also meshed for ventilation. The Kahuna 1000 has rounded cotton and fibre chambers protection on the fingers and the two piece thumb has a rounded fibre insert. The bottom hand has a HDF piece to give the hand protection. The gloves lining is made from brushed cotton with soft foam for comfort and the 50 mm wrist band is a one sided towelling. The glove is secured by Kookaburra's hook and loop fastening. Like other gloves in the Kahuna range these gloves are predominantly green with a light green and a dark green finger.
The Kookaburra Kahuna 500  Batting Gloves comes in junior, youth, adult and oversized adult sizes. It is rated grade 3 protection and comes in the Kahuna green design including  light and darker green on the fingers. The palm of the Kahuna 500 is made from calf leather with  ventilation and the back is mesh. The thumb is two pieced with a rounded fibre insert and the fingers are composed of rounded cotton with reinforced fibre chambers. The lining is brushed cotton with soft foam fill and the wrist band is towel material. The glove is fastened by a hook and loop system.


Kookaburra Blaze Batting Gloves

The Kookaburra Blaze Pro  Batting Glovesare a Grade 1 batting glove. The Blaze range which includes the 900, 400 and 150 all have  distinctive deep red and orange colours with flashes of yellow and black. The Blaze range was developed by Kookaburra in conjunction with Jos Butler of Lancashire and England. 



The Pro has high density foam as its main protective agent. This material is impact resistant yet light, and the glove offers flexibility and moisture control with Kookaburra's Max Flo and air flow mesh. The fingers on the Blaze Pro are of the shark-tooth design to allow flexibility and grip and the protection is of a mixture of high density foam and reinforced fibre chambers.


The side protection is also of HDF with the top hand having one section and the bottom hand three. The thumb is two piece HDF in rounded shark-tooth design and two rounded fibre inserts. The palm of the Blaze Pro is of pittards leather and the back is premium mesh; the linings are made from soft brushed cotton and foam and the wrist has a 50mm two sided sweat band. The Blaze Pro is fastened with a hook and loop system and  is made in small adult, adult and over-sized adult sizes.



The Kookaburra Blaze 900  Batting Gloves are Kookaburra's Grade 2 level batting glove in the Blaze range. It shares the distinctive red, orange, black and yellow colors with the Pro and like the Pro it uses high density foam as its main protective material. Also like the Pro flexibility and grip are ensured with the interlocking shark-tooth articulation system over fingers and thumb. The finger protection comes from rounded high density foam which is strong and light and this is reinforced with fibre chambers. The thumb is of a two piece rounded HDF material with fiber reinforcements. In addition the bottom hand has side protection of HDF. The leather palm has the Max Flow system and the back is of a mesh construction to aid ventilation. The linings are of soft cotton and foam and the band is of towelling material. The Blaze 900 has a hook and loop fastening system. The sizes available for the Blaze 900 are junior, youth, small adult, adult and over sized adult.


The Kookaburra Blaze 400  Batting Gloves are a Grade 3 batting glove. It is made in junior, youth, adult and over-sized adult sizes and shares the red, orange yellow and black colors with all the Blaze range. The palm is of calf leather and the back of the glove is mesh. The fingers are protected with square medium density foam. The density of foam is determined by the size and density of the air bubbles injected into the molten material. Generally the higher the density the more rigid the material. As well as MDF the fingers have added protection from fibre inserts. The two piece thumb has square MDF protection. The lining is cotton and soft fill and the wrist band is 50mm towelling. The glove is fastened with a hook and loop system.


The Kookaburra Blaze 150 is the Grade 5 batting glove in the range. It is made in extra small junior, small junior, youths and adult sizes and is aimed mostly at the younger players. It shares the distinctive colouration of orange, red yellow and black of the Blaze range. On the 150, finger protection comes from rounded cotton with fibre inserts with the thumb being cotton. The palm and the back of the glove are cotton with PVC patches over areas liable to wear. The wrist band is 50mm towelling and the glove is secured with a hook and joop system.


Kookaburra Surge Batting Gloves

The Kookaburra Surge range of batting gloves from Kookaburra are characterised by their blue color scheme. The two middle fingers are light and dark blue and the wrist band is light blue with dark blue trim.

The Kookaburra Surge Pro  Batting Gloves, like all Kookaburra Pros are the top of the range glove. It is flexible, light and protective. It comes in small adult and adult sizes only. The palm is made from top grade Pittards leather and has  Kookaburra's Max Flo ventilation system. The back of the glove is high grade mesh for further comfort. Protection is given by the use of high density foam, light but resistant, and this is found on the fingers and thumb. The Surge Pro has square HDF pieces on the fingers with the intersections between the being rounded for flexibility and grip. In addition Kookaburra have added further reinforcement with flat fibre inserts. The thumb protection is similar with two pieces of square HDF with fibre inserts and rounded intersections. Further protection comes from the side of the glove with the bottom hand being composed of three pieces of HDF and the top hand one piece. The lining on the Surge Pro is made of soft cotton and the wrist band is 50 mm double sided towelling. The glove fastens with a hook and loop system.


The Kookaburra Surge 800  Batting Gloves are rated as Grade 2 by Kookaburra. It has the Surge blue design with two middle fingers being light and dark blue. The wrist band has dark blue trim to the light blue 50mm towelling. The glove is fastened using Kookaburra's hook and loop system. The palm of the Surge 800 is made from calf leather with ventilation from the Max Flo system. Similarly the back is mesh to help keep the glove dry. Like the Pro the fingers and thumb on the 800 are made from strong, light, high density foam (HDF). The thumb has a two square piece HDF construction with flat fibre inserts. The intersections are rounded to give flexibility and grip. The fingers are also protected with square HDF, the intersections also being rounded and there are fibre inserts for further protection. The lining of the Surge 800 is soft brushed cotton. The glove is available in junior, youth and adult sizes.

The Kookaburra Surge 300  Batting Gloves are a Grade 4 batting glove which is available in small junior, junior, youth and adult sizes. It shares the blue colors of the Surge range. The finger protection comes from medium density foam and fibre inserts and the thumb of the Surge 300 has two section medium density foam. The lining is of brushed cotton and the glove is ventilated by the Max Flo system on the calf leather palm and a mesh back. The wrist band is 500 mm towelling and the glove is fastened by a hook and loop system.


The Kookaburra Surge 150  Batting Gloves are aimed at the younger batsman coming in extra small junior, small junior, junior, youth and adult sizes. The 150 has the Surge blue color system with light and dark blue fingers. The glove is made of cotton with PVC wear patches on the palm. The fingers are one piece rounded cotton and the thumb is also cotton. The wrist band is 50mm double sided towelling and the glove uses the hook and loop fastening system.


Kookaburra Ghost Batting Gloves

The Kookaburra Ghost Pro  Batting Gloves are the leading batting glove in the Ghost range. It is rated as grade 1 and is available in small adult and adult sizes. The finger protection on the Ghost Pro is rounded cotton reinforced by fibre chambers. The two piece thumb area is also made from reinforced fibre chambers. The palm is from Pittards premium leather and ventilation is from the Max Flo system. 


The back is composed of premium mesh to help with ventilation and the wrist band is made from  50 mm double sided towelling. The top hand has a side protection of one piece high density foam. This is top of the range protective material made by injecting air into molten polyurethane. The size of the bubbles formed, and the density of them define the grade of the foam. High density is strong, hard wearing and light. The bottom hand has 3 pieces of HDF. The Ghost Pro has a lining made from brushed cotton and the glove is secured by a hook and loop fastening.


The Kookaburra Ghost 600  Batting Gloves are a Grade 3 batting glove. The palm is made from calf leather and the lining is of soft cotton with soft foam. The finger  is protected with rounded cotton and reinforced fibre chambers. The thumb too has a two piece cotton section and reinforced fibre chambers.The bottom hand is further protected along the side with high density foam. The Ghost 600 has the Max Flo ventilation on the palm, a mesh back to the glove and a 500 mm towelling wrist band. It is available in junior, youth and adult sizes.


The Kookaburra Ghost 200  Batting Gloves are a Grade 4 glove. It is aimed at the younger player, being available in small junior, junior, youth and adult sizes. The palm of the glove is of leather and it has a cotton back . Rounded cotton and fibre inserts are the protective material for the fingers and thumb has rounded cotton. The ventilation comes from Max Flow system and there is a towel band, 50 mm wide, on the wrist. The Ghost 200 has a hook and loop fastening.


Kookaburra Fuse Batting Gloves

The Fuse range of batting gloves from Kookaburra has a striking color combination with one finger colored yellow the other black. The Kookaburra Fuse 700  Batting Gloves have square high density foam and reinforced fibre chambers on the fingers and two piece square HDF on the thumb.


High density foam is the material of choice for many top of the range gloves and the Fuse 700 is rated as Grade 2 by Kookaburra. Additional protection on the glove comes in the form of a side guard on the bottom hand, also made from HDF. The palm is calf leather and the back of the glove is mesh to help with ventilation. The wrist band is 50 mm double sided towel and the glove is fastened with a hook and loop. The band is yellow with black trim and the gloves are available in junior, youth and adult sizes.


The Kookaburra Fuse 250 Batting Gloves are a grade 4 glove and is available is small junior, junior, youth, and adult sizes. It has the yellow and black motif of the Fuse range including a yellow towel wrist band with black trim. The palm is durable calf leather with Kookaburras Max Flo for ventilation. The back of the glove is mesh to further help with ventilation. Square medium density foam with fibre inserts provides finger protection and the thumb of the Fuse 250 is made from a 2 piece square medium density foam. The lining of the glove is brushed cotton and the wrist band is 50 mm towel.


The Kookaburra Fuse 100 Batting Gloves are rated Grade 5 and are targeted at junior cricketers. It is available in extra small junior, small junior, juniors, youth and adults sizes. The Fuse 100 shared the yellow and black color theme with the rest of the Fuse range. The glove is made of cotton both on the palm and the back. The palm has PVC wear patches. Rounded cotton is used for finger and thumb protection The wrist band is a 50 mm double sided towelling in yellow and black and the glove is fastened by a 25mm hook and loop.
